Excavator with Groomer
Our 13.5 Tonne excavator is fitted with a Groomer attachment which has a cutting width of 1.2 mtr and can mow fallen material and standing material up to 8” at a reach of 7 mtr.
This machine fills the gap between our remote mowers (grass, banna grass, light scrub and Lantana) and our forest mowers (Grass, banna grass, thick scrub and lantana, tress to 8”) when access, size of material to be mown or highly sensitive areas requiring selective clearing/mowing is an issue for one of our other production machines.
The machine is fitted with city blocks which allow the machine to work on roadways without causing damage to the roads surface whilst mowing over grown road verges or drains behind guard rails etc.
This machine is not only for working on roadways, it has also been utilized by various agencies to:
- mow weed species on creek verges, over grown drains and spill ways
- Re open access tracks and fire trails
- create buffer zones/fire breaks
- selectively clear for revegetation works
- zero swing enables work in one lane
The machine comes on our own transport reducing transport costs and is supplied with a licenced operator and spotter.
